Wharekauhau Single Vineyard Pinot Noir
Country of Origin: New Zealand
A densely concentrated nose showing floral and woodsy top notes of dried oregano and thyme with a suggestion of freshly milled Macrocarpa and the earthy loam of forest floor. A rich core of sweet plum, anise and ripe black and red cherry sits underneath, revealing more and more nuance with air.
Crafted from six handpicked pinot noir clones planted in 1998 — Abel, 667, 777, 115, 114 and 10/5.
The wine is pressed off into its own set of French oak barrels selected to enhance its unique characters and aged for 12 months.
