Chateau Corbin Michotte 2019
Origin: France
The Chateau Corbin Michotte 2019 displays all the typicity of a great Saint-Emilion red wine. The wines are produced by the three oenologists of the family in a style unique to the property. The wines are bottled at the estate and kept away from light, in the underground cellars of Château Corbin Michotte, which is carved out of limestone. This wine can be appreciated in its youth thanks to its bright fruit and the silky structure of its tannins, but it can also age for a very long time in the cellar.
The estate
Château Corbin Michotte was once a large feudal estate. In the Saint-Émilion appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux, Château Corbin Michotte has risen to the rank of Grand Cru during its centuries-old history.
The vineyard
The 7-hectare vineyard of Château Corbin Michotte is located in a gravelly area, north of Saint-Émilion, bordering Pomerol. The vines are 50 years old on average. The Corbin Michotte vineyard even has a hundred-year-old plot. The vines are planted in gray-brown sandy loam soils upon a very ferruginous sandy clay subsoil with gravel on the surface. The Château Corbin Michotte vineyard is thus distinguished by its great richness in trace elements and barium. The vineyard is cultivated by means of sustainable agriculture. The Château Corbin Michotte vineyard has never been treated with chemical herbicides.
