Ogga Tinto Reserva
Country of Origin: Spain
This wine is made only in years classified as excellent by the ConsejoRegulador, the appellation body of La Rioja. The best grapes, coming from low-yielding vineyards with an average age of 60 years, found in Gimileo and Haro, in the heart of la Rioja. In the bodega the grapes are destemmed, then cold-macerated for 3 days before alcoholic fermentation in small tanks with temperature control following ecological guidelines. Further maceration post-fermentation is carried out with pumping-over by hand to achieve the wine maximum potential for 20 months ageing in French oak barrels. During this time no filtration has taken place so the wine in this natural state may precipitate some sediment in the bottle. Alcohol content: 14.5-Percent Grape variety: 100-Percent Tempranillo.
