Baron Philippe de Rothschild Chateau d'Armailhac 2013
Country: France
Château Mouton d'Armailhac is classified as a Fifth Growth in the famous classification drawn up by Bordeaux wine brokers.
Chateau d’Armailhac has born, from 1956 to 1974, the name of Chateau Mouton Baron Philippe, then from 1975 to 1988, the name Mouton Baronne Philippe. Created on the XVIIIe century by the Armailhacq (or Armailhac) family, this fifth 1855 classified growth under the name of Chateau Mouton d’Armailhac, got back, on one side, to its origin identity. Neighbor of the Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Chateau d’Armailhac is very different, both by its wines and by its cellar and its vat? This excellent wine possesses its own proper personality that will now be fully recognized. From Mouton Baronne Philippe to d’Armailhac, the name changed but under a new labels, remains the complexity and sumptuousness of a great Pauillac.
